4/11/2012 · I have tried to do a sudo umount with the -f option (including -t NTFS /dev/sdg* as other options), and all I get back is device is not mounted. However, if I try to mount the external drive, the system tells me that it is already mounted. There has got to be a way to get to this thing and shut it down so I can open it again.
